The Path of Reweaving
I am a Korean ritual and media artist based in Seoul, working at the intersection of embodied movement, ancestral cosmology, and digital technology.
My long-term practice, The Path of Reweaving, poses a fundamental question: How can bodies serve as living archives for erased cosmologies? It explores how digital media can reconstruct the severed threads of ancestral memory.
My work grows from Korean shamanic cosmology, traditional mask dance, and the lived practice of somatic restoration. Through this lineage, I treat the body as a vessel of memory: masks, bells, breath, and simple gestures become ways of invoking guardians who stand between worlds.
At the same time, I engage with cameras, projectors, and the blockchain as contemporary archival media. I use these tools to crystallize ephemeral gestures into "digital relics"—artifacts that endure beyond a single moment, site, or audience.
"Ultimately, I create contemporary ritual spaces where ancient cosmologies and present-day lives meet as equals."
